Produced Water Treatment

SW.jpg

Waste Minimisation Services (WMS) provide mobile systems for the on-site treatment of Produced Water. We use filtration and media adsorption to remove hydrocarbons, heavy metals and other contaminants from the water. These systems can also remove NORM (naturally occurring radioactive material).

Our systems can be designed to handle a wide range of flow rates up to  1,000 m3 per hour.

Our systems have been used by major oil companies in Europe, North America and the Middle East.

We also provide systems for the treatment of Sour Water and other waste streams created in the upstream and midstream oil industry.

How it Works

The WMS system is a passive system which is not reliant on chemical dosing and requires minimal manual intervention.

The water is firstly passed through a filter to remove any solids and then passed through a media vessel.

The system uses a granule-based filter media with surfactant and ion exchange capability that attach to any TPH, BTEX, PAH or heavy metals present and bind them to the Media.

The WMS system can also absorb NORM (naturally occurring radioactive material) from the Transuranic, Lead or Potassium series.

Key Advantages

- Removes dissolved as well as free oil.

- Remove Hydrogen Sulphides.
- Remove any metals as identified and required by the customer.
- Can deal with water with high TDS content.
- Can be designed with automatic emptying and filling.
- Easy to operate with minimal manual input.
- Small footprint.
- High throughput (up to 1,000m3 per hour).
- Cost effective.
- Minimises volume of hazardous waste for disposal.
- Can be adjusted to meet specific discharge parameters.

- Systems are skid-mounted and can easily be deployed in any location.
